Alishan Halebian was born and educated in Armenia
and after moving to United
States in 1970, he
continued his studies in art and design at a local college, while working at
the Los Angeles
jewelry district. He taught himself the craft of goldsmith, which in turn
provided him the freedom to design in jewelry.
With a background in drawing,
sculpture, and furniture design, Alishan prefers to work with three dimensional
forms; he approaches his jewelry as a miniature sculpture that is wearable.
His
talent and passion for designing jewelry is highly recognized among fellow
American and International colleagues, and his creations have been exhibited in
museums and galleries throughout the nation. Alishan continues to express his
artistic talent in his oil and water color paintings, which inspire his jewelry
designs.
